So which one will you be going to, it up to you, you decide, (ok I took
that from Big Brother), but as you can see you would have to do some
traveling if they were all at separate times, do we have enough players to
make up 3 teams in one night...................We don't have enough to
make up 2 at the moment.
Thursday 3rd July 2003
Busy day for news on Oxford United, Lets start with the Naughty Jefferson
Louis, He was caught driving whilst disqualified and will appear in court
in 2 weeks time, Not a clever move from someone who was released from
prison just over a year ago for car related crimes, we thought he had seen
the error of his ways, not so..............
Oxford have secured the full time services of Wycombe Wanderers Defender
Paul McCarthy, McCarthy joined the U's onloan last season and impressed
the U's manager Ian Atkins, McCarthy has been his main target this summer,
so he is pleased to have him on board, Atkins told me at the Forum last
week that "McCarthy is a winner, He will make the back line a fortress, he
can order people about with great ease and earn the respect of his fellow
team mates at the same time", maybe even Captain material.
Oxford will also be taking another defender on trial next week, Andrew
Mumford from Swansea, he has been having trials in Scotland, but is
wanting to stay down south, More news on him as and when we know it.
Oxford's younger Defender Simon King has been having a trial at Non League
Barnet, Kingy never even got a look in last season and needs to be playing
first team football, he is a great player and a great lad, I hope he stays
and fights for a place at Oxford, but whatever he does, I wish him the
best of Luck.
Oxford's game at home to Boston United has been changed to Good Friday 9th
April 2004 from the original date of Saturday April 10th 2004, even
better, means we can spend the whole weekend in Torquay ready for the
Bank Holiday Monday game at Plainmoor....Perfect....
The Priory and ? Pub has new management, Yorky has taken over with his
wife, Real Name Mick Finney, has decided to make the pub for home fans
only, which will push the away fans either into Blackbird leys, the Hotel
or straight into the ground, lets hope they have repaired the big holes in
the ceiling made by the Aston Villa fans last November and got a new
cigarette machine after the Villa fans smashed up the last one.

Hole in Ceiling 1
A few more holes above:-)
Tomorrow is the deadline for cheap rate season tickets, you must get in
there quick tomorrow or face paying the full whack for your chance to see
the U's win promotion.....always a pessimist.
Wednesday 2nd July 2003
Fans are reminded that the deadline for the cheap rate season tickets is
this Friday, after that day, existing Season ticket holders will no longer
have their seats saved.
Oxford will be having their own TV Channel playing in the Bar area's at
the Kassam Stadium before games next season, on the TV's fans will be able
to see past matches and what has happened at the club in the week up to
the present match.....
Tuesday
1st July 2003
So Dave Savage has finally signed for Bristol Rovers, that has to be the
most prolonged signing in the history,
Last Season Andrew Knapton Memorial award winner was linked with
Rovers when the season finished.
Jon Murray has finally had his Kassam Stadium ban lifted, So the
relationship between the club and Local Media
Is finally looking back to normal.

Funny picture of the day
Firoz Kassam took time to pose for me in his new shirt, So here goes your
advert Mr Kassam..
