Thursday 30th November
Wayne Hatswell had a very good game in the reserves Last night, He impressed the Management and all the Players with His Strength and Stamina, He has staked His claim for a contract at the Manor, He is good at both ends of the Pitch, There are not many at the Manor who are, So buy Him..............News Just in, Oxford Have bought Him, What a relief, Good luck to Him For the Future, Hope He scores Lots and Stops lots going in.

The Youth Team are out of the F A Youth Cup,
Wednesday 29th November
Joey Beauchamp
is going nowhere, Rumours were that He was off to QPR, But the club have announced that they have had no contact with any club about Joey or any other players at this club, Joey-who on His day is better than any player in this Division-would be missed If He went as He is the only asset at this club who is Fit.

Oxford have Wayne Hatswell on Trial in the Reserves match at Home to Northampton(7.30pm), Now is His time to impress and get Himself into the football League with Oxford. Hatswell is a Centre Half who knows How to score goals-at non-League level anyway.

Good Luck to the Youth Team who play at Highfield Road tonight  against Coventry in the 3rd Round of the Axa Youth F A Cup, Lets Hope they can keep the Spirits of the club alive.

Oxford are still waiting for Jamaican Onandi Lowe to appear for His trial at the Manor, Joe Kinnear was Expecting Him last week but He had the Flu, He was coming over this week-yet has failed to appear.
Tuesday 28th November
News just in, Chester City have beaten Plymouth at Home Park after extra time, Sorry Ian but you are just not destined to See Oxford Play this season, Unless you go to Chester instead..*lol*
So we now know that  it will be Chester City at the Deva Stadium in round 2 on December 9th, The game will probably be All Ticket so watch this space.

Oxford have offered Contracts to Lee Jarman and Jimmy "Play Him up Front" Glass until the end of the Season, Manager Dave Kemp thinks they will both be a great asset to the club this season and will feature in the team.

Oxford will know Who they will be up against Tonight in the FA Cup 2nd Round as 3rd Division Plymouth entertain Non League Chester City at Home Park, My Mate Ian who now lives in Plymouth will be Praying for a Home Win, Good luck to both Teams, Though I would rather go down to Plymouth...Scores and more News later.

Monday 27th November
Dave Kemp says that He knew we wouldn't get any points after the way we sat back and let Nott's County play in the second half on Saturday, We just did not compete, We are back to Square one, 2 great wins and we now have to start all over again, Starting away to Oldham at COLD Boundary Park.

Tom Hammerborg who was on trial at the Manor has gone back to Norway, Seems as though He will not be joining us Permanently.

Mickey Lewis has Joined Oxford City as Player Coach, Good luck to  Ex-Oxford Manager Mad Dog for the future.

Saturday 25th November
So What a disappointing Result, After playing so well and going into a 2 goal lead-Oxford throw it all away in a matter of minutes, 2-0 up at Half time thanx to a Matt Murphy brace and looking like going on to record a good home win, Then the voodoo cut in and the day was ruined, At Halftime New came in that Joe Kinnear was Leaving to go to Hearts in the Scottish Premier, He re-appeared in His seat way after the 2nd Half was underway, By that time We were 2-1 up after On-Loan Danny Allsopp had got a goal back for the Visitors, All of a sudden County were back in the game and from then on we were always under Pressure, Oxford never really threatened the County goal in the 2nd Half, The Referee never really gave the U's anything, That was clear when He gave County a Penalty, Murphy Tackled the Player who was going out of the area, He Seemed to Dive like a Swan and the ref was only going to do one thing-Point to the Spot, Danny Allsopp stepped up to slot away the Penalty-2-2, As if that wasn't bad enough-Slack defending 1 minute later allowed County to take the Lead, Adam Newton, who moved to Meadow Lane on loan from West Ham earlier in the week, scored the winner three minutes from time with a deflected shot from 12 yards, That wrapped up a miserable afternoon, Oxford could never come back from that, County went on to win 3-2 and keep Oxford firmly rooted to the bottom of Division 2, So next week it is off to Cold Oldham, as reported last week, Wrap up Warm again as the weather up there is Worse than at Macclesfield and the nets are further away from the crowd, Those that caused the trouble there-Please stay away.

Dave Kemp was absolutely Furious with Team after throwing away a 2 goal lead this afternoon, He said "Instead of working as a unit the players all worked as individuals"
Unless they can learn to work together then we are going to keep losing, Notts County fans on the Radio Oxford phone in after the game could not believe How Oxford Caved in during the second half and they played so well in the first.

As stated in my report at the top Joe Kinnear could be off to Hearts, The Scottish Premier Club want Him to be there new manager-after He turned down the Oxford Post that will be a big blow to the U's, Most fans wanted Him to be the New boss at the Manor, He refused on Health Reasons, So if He has such a weak Heart why go to Hearts! Does He think He will get a new one..<hehe>, Come on Joe-Finish the job you came here to do, Oxford United needs you, The Fans need you at the club and most of all I think the Players need you, They have the Upmost respect for you and would be as devastated as us if you left.

Friday 24th November
Keith Andrews should return for the U's tomorrow who face Notts County at the Manor, He will be making His long awaited Home Debut-along with Keith Brown and Phil Gray, They have been at the club for 2 weeks and get there chance to show the Home supporters who don't go away what they are capable of, Good Luck to them on the Home Debuts, All three of you.

Macclesfield Town are Hoping that the F A will give them a cup lifeline and Make Oxford replay there F A Cup match with them after the disgraceful Scenes from the" So Called United Fans "delayed the game at Moss Rose for over 5 Minutes, Resulting in Lee Glover having His Penalty saved by Richard Knight, Who is to say that Knight wouldn't have saved the spot kick anyway, but after all the other cases from last Saturday they have a good case for a rematch, That would Devastate the true Oxford Fans if the game was replayed, Those culprits who ruined the day for all other U's fans should  never show there faces around the Manor again.
The club are still urging people to report any incidents that they are aware of to them or the Police, the sooner we track down the Hooligans the Better.

Oxford are to Run out to the Song" The Only Way is Up"
That is the orders of Chairman Firoz Kassam who wants to add a bit more get up and go to the pre-match entertainment, So if He wants entertainment He should think about my selection for song for when We score, as written earlier on this page, "Goal" after Gold from  "Spandau Ballet" what with the KEMP connection......Wait and See.!

Oxford United are reportedly making a bid to Buy Steve Robinson from Birmingham City, He is a 25 Year old Midfielder who has been trying to break into the Brum First team this season, U's have reportedly bid £100,000 for Him-But that was rejected, So is that the end of it, Wait and See.
Oxford's interest in Forest Greens star Defender seems to be Still alive, He will play for Forest Green tomorrow, There are reports that 2 other League Teams are after His Services. More Later....

Norwegian Tom Hammerborg arrived at the Manor yesterday and Has trained with the Squad today, Probably too late for a place in the team for the visit of Notts County, But you never Know...!

S
eason Tickets are on Offer until the 1st December  2000 at a reduced rate, for More info contact the club, Take up this offer as later in the Season you might regret it.

Thursday 23rd November
Peter Fear will soon decide whether to come off of the Transfer List, Likewise with Matt Murphy, With the Team now having a winning spell-they Might have a change of Heart about Leaving, With New Blood coming in aswell, they might have to fight for a place in the team.
With Norwegian Midfielder Tom Hammerborg arriving at the manor this week and Jamaican Striker Onandi Lowe arriving next week after He has got over the Flu, Oxford Should have the strength in the Squad to start Grabbing some League Points, Starting With the Game against Notts County this Saturday.
Wednesday 22nd November
Great News to actually see Movement at the New Stadium site at Minchery Farm, We have been waiting for so long for work to recommence that it is still hard to believe.

Oxford are giving Fans a chance to Buy a Season ticket for the remainder of the Season, With this being our last Season at the Manor Ground-People will be wanting to get a ticket for that last League game at the Manor, So get in Early and beat the Rush..!
For more information contact the Club.

Tuesday 21st November

Oxford United are appealing for witnesses to any of the incidents that happened on Saturday

Oxford United Football Club is taking a serious view of the actions of a small minority of people who misbehaved at and on the way home from last weekends’ AXA F A Cup match at Macclesfield.
Club Director Fenton Higgins apologised to the Macclesfield Directors while the disgraceful incident with the nets was taking place. The Club has requested a copy of the match video from Macclesfield and also requested Thames Valley Police to obtain a copy of the CCTV footage. It has also been reported that there was damage caused to the toilets in the visitors' section at Moss Rose and a disturbance took place later at Stoke railway station.
Witnesses to any of these incidents should telephone PC Paul Phillips on 01865 266012 or Email at admin@oufc.co.uk or write to the Club.
The Club is promoting good behaviour and trying to encourage people to attend matches and are putting great emphasis on and resources into our community programme and appeal to all genuine supporters to report any incidents of misbehaviour.
The new legislation referred to below will help the police reduce incidents of this nature.

Football Disorder Act 2000.

This act has been created by the Home Office to deal with persons involved in football related offences. This means inside and outside stadiums and during journeys that persons make to or from matches.
If you are prosecuted in connection with any football related offences the Police will make an application to the Court for a football banning order to be made against the individual.
If you are subsequently convicted of the offence the Courts are in most cases duty bound to make a football banning order against you.
The ban is a combined ban and covers Domestic and International football matches. The term is for 3-5 years or 6-10 years if a custodial sentence is imposed.
You will also be required to surrender your passport and sign on at a nominated police station during the time of any England match abroad.
The Act also includes a section where the police can make an application to the Court for a football banning order based on an individuals involvement in any violence or disorder. The term of this order can be from 2-3 years. These orders can be made at any time – not only when a person is convicted of a football related offence.
Thames Valley Police will implement this legislation – It is important that you think about your actions as this could result in you being banned from watching your team.

Oxford have called an Open Meeting at the Manor for Fans to Ask Questions and air there views to the club, The Meeting will be on the Wed 6th December 2000, Firoz Kassam will chair the meeting along with Joe Kinnear, Manager Dave Kemp, His Number 2 Alan Mcleary and Probably Fenton Higgins, All Supporters are welcome, But get there Early. Times will be announced soon, watch this space.

Oxford City Council Today announced that they want to sell there 13% share in Minchery Farm, The Council are having a clearout of Properties as they need more funds, So anyone with Half a Million will beable to buy into the stadium....So do the Lottery on Wednesday..

Monday 20th November
Oxford United could be brought in front of the F A if the Referee reports the Crowd trouble during Saturday F A Cup match at Moss Rose, mindless Hooligans tried to rip the goal post down and tried to get on the pitch, People like that should be banned from every football ground in the country, We and the Sport can do without them, Stay in the Pubs and Keep out of the grounds, Leave supporting Oxford to the real fans.

Oxford Rumoured to be Signing  John Scales
Oxford were today being rumoured by a National newspaper to be signing Experienced defender John Scales from Ipswich, He has Played for Spurs and Liverpool and would be the sort of player we need to play alongside Andy Linighan, Scales has had His fair share of Injuries of Late, but 2nd division football should be just up His Street, Let's hope we sign Him, even if it is until the end of the season.

Pictures Have been added from Saturday at Macclesfield to This Season's Picture gallery.

Sunday 19th November
What a Great result yesterday, the Match that is-That had to be marred by Hooligans that Oxford can do without, They are just mindless Drunken Idiots, There was approx 20 of them, They can stay at Home and leave supporting the club to it's REAL fans.
1-0 does not look a very good scoreline, but  Oxford did have 75% of the ball, It was just the lack of a decent last ball in, That was something that Macclesfield did not lack, They were good at everything except putting the ball into the net, Though Oxford's defending at times was a bit Nerve racking, And that was just our nerves not the players, The midfield was at times non-existant, What Lee Jarman was doing there was a mystery,
Every Supporter in the away end assumed that Dean Whitehead would be Starting the game, But Jarman is just not up to playing in that position,
Phil Gray had a very good game, Scoring His 1st and more vital-the winning goal for Oxford, He was all over the pitch after the ball, Just like Delboy Lilley, He Had another outstanding game, Lilley had a part in the goal Which was started by Gray himself, He passed the ball to Lilley on the far left, He passed the ball into Matt Murphy who was in the middle and Murph slotted the ball through to Gray-He was waiting on the edge of the area to slot the ball past the keeper and Victory.
Good job He got that goal, Oxford never really threatened the Macclesfield goal keeper again, All the other chances were either off target or very poorly Hit.
All the excitement was in the Last 2 minutes, Mac Striker Richie Barber managed to get away from Andy Lininghan, Lininghan got up of the deck after slipping, but in trying to win the ball He took the legs of Barker, The ref gave the spot kick, the all the trouble began, Supporters tried to get the net off the posts, A Mac player, Looked Like Glover went into the goal to try and stop the supporters by tugging on the net, He failed and then made hand gestures to the crowd, which made matters worse than they already were, So called U's fans then tried to get on the Pitch to get the offensive Glover-Police and stewards came in and  for a moment we had fears of the game being abandoned, This was the second time the net had been tampered with in the second half, The stewards should have done better to react 2nd time round but they didn't, Not that it excuses the U's fans disgraceful behavior.
After all the trouble had calmed down Glover stepped up to take the Penalty, Richard Knight dived to his right but managed to stop the ball with His leg, Kicking the ball out of the area, the ball came back in but the Scare was over after poor control from a Mac player.
Oxford then had to get through 7 minutes of added time, Time that the Oxford Fans had added on, Mac tried to put the pressure on Oxford, But did not have the power to do the job, At the end the players applauded the crowd-but failed to come over to the Massed support from Oxford, Probably fearing another attempt on ripping the goal down, SO the Hooligan element of the Oxford fans won again, The true fans lost out celebrating with there team, So this first ever visit to Moss Rose will always be remember with Sadness with a touch of Happiness, Oxford will always be remembered at Moss Rose as thugs and a team that beat them at football, Who knows what will happen now, Just when we are getting it together on the pitch, We start losing off of it.

well done Oxford Keep up the good winning Run,
For all your LOYAL SUPPORTERS at least.
Pictures will appear shortly..

LDV  Vans Trophy
Oxford Have been very unlucky in the draw for the formerly Auto Windscreen shield, Given a tricky tie at bogey team Brentford- a team we always seem to get in this cup, Well we did last season anyway, losing away on a very cold night out...More later...

Mad Dog gets the Sack

MICKEY Lewis, who has been a player and coach at Oxford United     for 12 years, has been sacked, Lewis was an aggressive midfielder had       been without a proper contract at the Manor.

There was speculation about what role he would play when David Kemp   and Alan McLeary took charge of the team two weeks ago.

Following the sacking of Malcolm Shotton last November, Lewis took     charge of the team but results did not improve and he was replaced by        Denis Smith, who managed to keep United in Division 2.

Lewis will continue playing for Banbury United, and he could interest      Oxford City, who are looking for a No 2.
Good bye Mad Dog and Thank you for all the memories, Will He get a Testimonial now, god knows He deserves One.. So come on Oxford...

F A Cup      Results    and     Draw
The F A Cup draw last night  gave us another away fixture at either Plymouth or non-league Chester City who drew 1-1 at the Deva Stadium, We by chance met some Plymouth Fans in the service station on the way home last night, They said that they should have won the tie easily, But will be  look forward to the replay and were Hoping for a chance to Play us, Likewise will a friend of Mine who is a U's Supporter and now Lives in Plymouth, It will be a great chance for Him to See His beloved U's this season, IF Plymouth Win that is.*lol*. Start Praying Ian...

Friday 17th November
Joe Kinnear Today announced that He will be bringing in a Jamaican International Striker next week, He is 26 year old Onandi Lowe, He has just Played His 27th International and Has an impressive goalscoring record, In His 27 Internationals He has scored 24 goals, At 6' 4" tall He is just what we need,  He has scored 6 times in the World Cup Qualifiers so far this Season, Lets get Him here and Keep Him Here, He does sound too good to be true, But then this is a player Highly rated by Big Joe-so He must be true.

Oxford Team of the Week, Oxford-Oxford Team of the Week.
Oxford today received an Award for there Fine display at Swansea, What an outstanding result it was last Saturday, Lets Hope that it carries on from now on until the end of the Season, Congratulations Boys for winning the Award, You did good.

3rd time lucky- Tomorrow is the draw for the Formerly Auto Windscreen Shield, 10am on Sky's Soccer Am, so keep tuned in before heading off to Macclesfield, If your not going, WHY NOT ?

The Team for tomorrow should just be the one change from the good win last week, Keith Andrews will be missing as Wolves do not want Him cup tied, So His place should be filled by Deano Whitehead, Phil Gray will play alongside Delboy Lilley, Keith Brown is being allowed to play by His club Barnsley, So signs are good that He will be coming Here full time, He impressed well in His first game last week.

As pre-warned, Wrap up in warm clothing tomorrow as it will be brass monkeys up north in Macclesfield, With the ground being open-A Giant Oxford scarf would be the ideal solution, So leave early and go to the club shop and buy one, Don't forget that it will be used again in 2 weeks as we go to Oldham, It is colder still up there.

United fan Mat Proctor has launched a plea on Thisisunited's  Fans' Forum to boost attendances at the Manor.

Dubbed his initiative the 'Raise the Gates' campaign, Mat has appealed to fellow fans for ideas to help attract more people to United matches.

His own ideas include:

1. Lower ticket prices for all, but most importantly families, children and concessions (UB40 + NUS).

2. Better ticket distribution throughout Oxford and the county, with licensed vendors in Cowley, Botley, Kidlington, City centre, Abingdon, Bicester, Witney and Banbury.

"The aim is to raise attendances initially, and gain new support in the long term," writes Mat. "Once you've been to the Manor, unbelieveable as it may seem, that's it, you're hooked. We've got a professional side, lots of others haven't. Be proud of them."

Read more on the Fans' Forum today.

Wednesday 15 November
After Saturdays great Win the team have Won yet again, Ok it was the reserve team, But that is still another confidence booster for the whole Team, Chris Hackett Scored the Only goal of the game last night at the Manor, The Second string are now unbeaten since the new management team took over the reigns, So things are looking very good all round at the moment, Except where it matters-The League table, Can we just turn it upside down and have done with it,<hehe>.

Oxford
will be without Peter Fear for Saturdays big FA Cup game at Macclesfield as He is Suspended after getting His 5th Booking, Also missing will be Keith Andrews, Wolves don't want Him cup tied, So after One game He has a rest.

Monday 13th November
Dave Kemp today brought in John Regis-The former Athletics 100/200 metres runner as a Fitness coach, Kemp wants Regis to try and get the players fitness back to what it should be, Players this season have looked unfit and Lazy, Since Kemp has been installed the Fitness has been better, but it needs a lot of work, to which a Former Olympic sprinter knows all about, Training will now be a lot  harder than ever, If the Players want to get out of the relegation zone then they are going to have to put in the extra work.
After the Brilliant win Saturday at Swansea, The league takes a back seat this Saturday when Oxford travel to Macclesfield for the first time, TheF A cup 1st round proper could not have come at a worse time, back to winning ways and just when you want another league game, along comes the cup, Though It should be a chance for the players to just go out and enjoy themselves and get another win under there belts.
It is also a chance for Oxford Fans to knock off another stadium, Macclesfield is a new ground for Oxford and will be number 81 for me, Leaving just 11 to go, One day I might do the 92, Supporters have been warned to Wear  warm clothing as the weather up there is very cold and the ground is very open, I have been to Oldham on a Tuesday night, that was cold(-10)-So I'm going well prepared.

Traveling to Macclesfield by car.?
Look in the Division 2 grounds section, Then go to Division 3 for a Map of where the ground is.

Sunday 12th November
2-1 to the English Boys

WE WON, And what a result, 2-1 away to Swansea, A great display by all the Players, Especially Richard Knight who again kept us in the team, He made some great saves to deny the Swans, Keith Andrews Scoring the crucial Winner on His debut and giving a brilliant display to match the goal, Other new boys Keith Brown and Phil Gray also had very good games,
Gray did look very tired later in the match and I though He should have gone off to save burning Himself out, He did well to get past the last defender when put through on 68 mins, only to see an Elbow appear in His face, the elbow from Matt Bound got Him a straight Red Card-No more than He deserved, It made a change for Oxford to Have a ref that was on the ball, so many times this season players like Bound have got away with stuff like that, we have lost count.
Going 1-0 Down was a huge blow to both the players and 263 U's supporters that made the Long wet Journey to the Land of the Sheep, All were performing well and then a bad mistake from Joey Beauchamp let in the Swans  Steve Watkins to score after 12 mins, Here we go again was the thoughts of all, Then a piece of pure skill from Joey made up for the mistake He made 5 mins earlier, receiving the ball on the Left-He stepped inside and unleashed a rocket of a right foot shot from all of 30 yards to give Roger Freestone no chance, a great Goal on His 350th Start for Oxford and His 73rd Goal, From then on the Possession was all Oxford's, they really stepped up their game and Deserved the 2nd goal,  Beauchamp was also involved in the winner on 34 minutes. His corner was headed out by Watkin, only for Andrews to smash a volley in through a crowded area and victory was ours, on 68 mins Bound got His marching orders for the elbow on Gray, by then though the game was all ours, No more than we deserved-Players and Supporters, it was a great day for both, Oxford win in Europe-Well Wales anyway, Can we play you every week was the cry! Not likely after the Journey we had getting there, But if that is what it takes to get 3 points we will do it every week, Here's to an Oxford revival and a hope of getting out of the relegation zone.

Friday 10th November
Dave Kemp has the Privilege of being able to field 3 fresh faces for tomorrows match away to Swansea, With Phil Gray upfront we have a Proven goal scorer to play alongside Delboy Lilley, Lilley Has been in great form, But has lacked a decent partner upfront with Him, Lets see plenty of goals and 3 points, Keith Brown will hopefully play in the left back position, a position that we lack backup, Paul Powell could then be free to play on the left wing, God we have missed Him in that position, Keith Andrews might replace Peter Fear who got a knock on Saturday against Bristol Rovers.
Nick(Elbow)Cussack will be in the Swansea team tomorrow, He was not at Oxford long, but did have quite a repore with the fans, For Using His elbows everytime He went up for a header, Usually in the head of the opposing player.

Supporters traveling by car can find a map of the area in my Division 2 grounds Section.

Keep an eye out for the Cup draw in the morning, Live on Sky's Soccer Am , Formerly the Auto Windscreen Shield, This season the cup has new sponsors, Let Hope for a good Draw.

Tuesday 7th November

On Tuesday afternoon the Reserve team won 3-0 in difficult at Southend United in the Avon Insurance Combination. The whole team put in a good  performance in the rain, with two goals from Simon Weatherstone and another from Jamie Cook giving the Reserves their fourth successive victory.
Paul Powell played the whole 90 minutes in a bid to improve his match fitness, following his two month absence with a cruciate injury.
On Monday night the Youth team hit Bury Town for six, winning 6-0 in the 2nd Round of the AXA FA Youth Cup at the Manor on Monday night. Speedy Chris Hackett, a hat-trick hero in the 1st Round got the team off to a perfect start opening the scoring after only 9 minutes. Jamie Brooks doubled the score line on 28 minutes after a good one-two with Jorden Holder. In the 2nd half the home team kept up the pressure and with the shots raining in from all angles it was no surprise when Dwight Ciampoli knocked in a Brynmore Jones cross for the third. The Bury players kept battling away, but as they began to tire, United scored three more goals in the final 15 minutes through Jorden Holder and a brace from 15 year old substitute Adam Garner. The team will now eagerly await the 3rd Round draw on Thursday when Premier League and 1st Division teams enter. Back at the Manor the phones have been busy with Director of Football, Joe Kinnear and Manager, David Kemp speaking to numerous people, both in England and abroad about bringing new players to the Club.

Tuesday 7th November
Joe Kinnear has Said today that He has been trying to get new Blood in this week and is Confident that by the weekend there will be someone new,
But Joe would not say in what position those players coming in would be filling, Any fresh blood in the team in this crutial State are welcome, Though a Striker is our main concern, Can we have Moody back from Millwall.?
If not We will settle for Alan Shearer on loan for a Month.hehehe.
Watch This Space.!

Here is a Poem by John Fisher from Lechlade
Titled, JOEY  BURGERCHUMP.

THIS IS A STORY OF JOEY BURGERCHUMP
A STORY YOU MUST KNOW
ABOUT A PLAYER FROM OXFORD
AND TO WEST HAM HE DID GO.

HE DID NOT STOP THERE VERY LONG
ENOUGH TIME TO HAVE HIS DINNER
TWO WEEKS LATER THOUGH HE WENT TO SW**DON
AND HE DIDN'T LOOK MUCH THINNER.

THEN BACK TO OXFORD CAME OUR HERO
HE STRUTS AROUND JUST LIKE NERO
HE REALLY IS A PORKY LUMP
BUT TO US ALL HE'S JOEY BURGERCHUMP.

Monday 6th November
We'll win again, Don't know where, Don't know when,
But I know we'll win again Some Sunny Day.
Those were the Final words from the crowd in the London Rd on Saturday after another dismal performance and Defeat, Are We going to see any new players in this week, We definitely need a new Striker this week, That is more important than anything, We are not going to Win until We get a new Target Man, You could See How well We played at the Scum when Guy Whittingham  played for us, If only He hadn't gone back to Pompey, Who knows where We would be had He stayed.

Sunday 5th November
Discussions on the London Rd about what We should sing when We score resulted in the Song below, Because of the Kemp connection,
Goal (goal)

Saturday 4th November
Oxford  0 - 1 Bristol Rovers
So after a week of great optimism with New management coming in the team still carried on playing like they have no cares in the world, The new Managerial team wanted to see for themselves the damage caused, They sure saw that today, Now We must have new faces on the pitch, I am afraid to say this but there should now be faces going out too,
Steve Anthrobus and Simon Weatherstone for a start, No disrespect to them-But they wouldn't get in Witney Town's First team, There was just No Movement or Skill from Either of them.
Bristol today made Oxford look like a Sunday league side, They were passing the ball around with ease, It was like they had 2 Men more on the field than us, But that was probably because we fielded Unfit players and Players who think they have an easy life, If I just turn up and walk around the field I will pick up my Wages at the end of the week.

How Bristol only scored 1 goal today is a Mystery, The biggest reason was Richard Knight, He made some outstanding  Saves in the First Half to deny them, Though Oxford were very bad at Corners and was no great surprise when they got the goal, From a corner Steve Foster rose above the Whole defence to Header the ball into the net.
Peter Fear was Playing well until He went off injured at Halftime, He was replaced in the midfield by Lee Jarman-who is never a Midfielder, Though nor is Joey Beauchamp, He should be on the wing, Paul Powell even though He isn't fit Should be on the Wing, Chris Hackett Who came on the Pitch late in the game Should have been on at Halftime to replace Bus or TinTin, Manny also looked Lively but never did anything special, Though Dave Kemp would not have seen these Facts in training, it only needed the one game for the players to show themselves up, We have a team of Tryers, but then that isn't enough, Derek Lilley Needs someone to work with Him, He will be burnt out soon the way He has been playing, He is probably the only outfield player that you cannot fault, He gives 110% every game, Jon Richardson and Andy Linighan are also Playing well, but they cannot hold the defence together between them, They need 2 new Fullback, Like we need 2 new Midfielders and 2 New Strikers, Too which Moody would be a start.

Saturday 4th November
First of all, a Happy 6th Birthday to My Son Bradley, From Myself and His Mum, Hope you have a Great Day.

Good Luck to the New Management Team today who have there First game in charge of Oxford, Hope you get off to winning ways and continue to win for a long time.

Is the Club shop going to be selling Scandinavian phrase books after reports from Mighty Joe that we will be having an influx of Scandinavian Players, Plus a few Norwegians, Probably 6 at a time, So it could be worth going along to a few of the Reserve games at the Manor in the coming weeks, Starting with the 14th November 2000 with Oxford vs Peterborough-7.30pm kick off.
Rivals Luton have also been Scanning that Part of the World, They have signed 2 new players, 1 Scandinavian and 1 Norwegian!, So there might be Norwegian battle at the Bottom.

The Draw for the Mickey Mouse Cup will be next Saturday Morning-as there is a new sponsor for the Competition.

Friday 3rd November
Joke of the Day
,
Having a Phone call from a Man called Kevin Garry
Saying that He has 2 Match Tickets with My Name on for the Bristol Rovers game tomorrow , I ordered them for My two mates and Had not received them, I Live at Stanton Harcourt Oxon,
The Tickets went to DORSET !
Slightly of Track a bit Don't you think.?
The Club Have apologized and Will give Me two Duplicates on the Day, They Saw the Funny side, Mr Garry Will be traveling from  Dorset for the Game Tomorrow.

Dave Kemp
has the option of Picking Paul Powell for the visit of Bristol tomorrow, Lets Hope that Oxford get off to a winning start for the new Management Team, God knows we need to win, Anymore losses and the others will start Pulling well clear of us, The next 5 games are games that we are capable of winning, A good run is what we need.
Kemp stated that all the Players at the club have something to prove, So they better put on a good performance, With New players coming in next week-A bad game could mean them having a battle to get back in the Team.

Tomorrow morning on Soccer AM is the draw for the Auto Windscreen Shield-or Mickey Mouse cup as it is better known, Could be a chance to Knock off another ground, With us being in the southern region it would have to be Torquay, That would please Helen Chamberlain.

Thursday 2nd November
After all the exciting news yesterday, Today's news is short, Denis Smith is staying onboard as a Scout for the moment, if the pointed Hat will fit and the shorts aint too tight.!, Mike Ford is taking up His old role as Youth Team coach-to which he was doing a good job and Mickey Lewis is going back to being Reserve Team Manager, So back to normal then, So much for getting rid of Smith, He seems to have landed on His feet.

The New Management Team are Hoping to bring in at least 3 new players within the next week, We do need at least 5 players to get us out of this Hole.

Wednesday 1st November
Oxford United Have a new Manager, David Kemp(Below) who was Assistant manager to Joe Kinnear at Wimbledon-Takes over the Hot seat at the Manor as of Today, His Assistant will be Allan McCleary who was atDavid Kemp, Oxford United's new manager Millwall  as Joint Manager Earlier in the season, Joe Kinnear Who was thought to have taken the job is going to be the new Director of Football, which should spell the end for Denis Smith, What exactly Happens to Mickey Lewis and Mike Ford we will have to wait and see.
Firoz Kassam has told the  New Management that they will have 1 million Pounds to spend on new players, We need atleast 5, Including 2 big goal scorers, We also Need another Experienced Defender to play alongside Andy Linighan and Jon Richardson in the Heart of the defence, A rightback as we lack any skill in that department and a midfield Maestro, the sooner the better, Lets Hope with the Changes made today we can get off to Winning ways on Saturday against Bristol Rovers, Please Remember that the Game this weekend is All Ticket, To which you have until Friday at 5pm to get them.
