Monday April 30th
Firoz Kassam has Stated that He could terminate David Kemp's Contract as early a Tuesday morning in time for the last game at the Manor Ground to go off to the supporters wishes, My Letter to Firoz could have done some good after all, If Kemp is Still in a Job tomorrow there will be even more posters to continue the campaign, But hopefully it won't come to that, We want this game to go past without any protests as this is one game we want to remember for all the right reasons, 24 hrs and Counting.
                                     -------------------------------------------------

Good Luck to Bristol Rovers tonight who are at Home to Port Vale, Vale who are Oxford's opponents tomorrow at the Manor for the last ever League game have 4 games in 6 days this week, Rovers tonight, Manor tomorrow and home to Walsall on Thursday as well as Away to Luton Saturday, Rovers Play on Wednesday Against Wycombe and Saturday against Wrexham, Win all 3 and -along with a Cambridge win against Colchester tomorrow and the Scum will be joining us in Division 3 if they Lose on Saturday to Stoke at the Britannia Stadium, So Good luck to all the Teams that could send the sscum down.

Mr Kassam, No News is Bad News, Please do the right this So that our Last Game at the Manor Ground is a Special one, If in Doubt,

Get KEMPY OUT!!!

Sunday April 29th
3-1 to the Kemp Out Boys

What a Great Campaign Yesterday from This SITE to Remove KEMP from the Throne, 800 Posters later and it looks like He could well be on His way, Mr Kassam was Not a very Happy man to return from Holiday to find Comments about Him in the Local press/media.
800 Poster from This Site, 200 From Neil Earl and a few others that Printed them looked awesome scattered around the ground yesterday, It Showed with great force that supporters do not like Him, Outside the ground the Response was great, Fans going to the ground Saying" You are Spot on, Give Me a few of Them".
How can He make comments about the supporters who pay His wages in the way He has, Even more so about Firoz Kassam, If anyone wants to read the Letter that I wrote to Firoz Kassam I will mail it to you, I just wrote a Letter expressing myself to Him on the Kemp situation and Letting Him know what we Thought of Him, Hopefully He would have read it before the Game and Taken Notice of it, along with all the Supporters Chants and Posters, Even certain Players who past us in the street when we were handing posters out thought He should go.
Just to Prove Himself wrong at His outbursts Kemp Played young Jamie Brooks, Jamie had an outstanding game on His Home debut, Making One and Scoring One, His work rate was unbelievable, He is a Local Lad and was Proud to be out there wearing the Shirt of His Hero's, He now deserves to put Himself in the Oxford History book by playing in the last Ever league game at the Manor( Andy if  you are watching, Thanx).
Andy Scott and Manny's work yesterday was also well noticed, they were both outstanding up front, Manny won everything in the air, Considering He is the shortest player on the Pitch it was amazing, It was Manny who put us in front after 10 minutes, Though the goal was all but Brooks's, He raced past 4 defenders and shot past Roger Freestone-Only to see His shot Hit the Post and come out to Manny-Who slotted into an empty net, Time for the flood gates to Open.?
Well they didn't, On 26 Minutes Swansea got an equalizer, sloppy defending from Oxford (never!) saw the Swans race in to give there Traveling fans some joy, That Joy soon changed in the 2nd half though as on 61 Minutes good work by Beauchamp and Scott-who looked like He'd won a penalty-saw Brooks race through a confused Swans defence  to put the U's back in the lead, what a Debut He was having, making one and Scoring one, 2 or 3 minutes later Oxford were 3-1 up and it was over, From a  Beauchamp corner Murphy was waiting to Header! the ball into the back of the net from 10 yards out.
Oxford even brought on the Old warhorse Andy Linighan for a few minutes, it could well of been His last league game in Oxford Colours, We had forgotten how huge He was until He came on, He towered over the rest of the Players on the Field.
There was even an appearance from Old Oxford favourite Nick"Elbow" Cussack, He was delighted with the response from the Oxford Crowd, Racing onto the Field and Kindly applauding the Oxford fans all round the ground, it is always good to see Ex players come back to the Manor, Especially when We win that is.
------------------------------------------------
Visited the New Stadium Yesterday, Went into the Carpark up to the Perimeter fence, got some great Pictures of the Ground, will be on site later, The Ground is looking very very good indeed.
can't wait now until next season.

Friday April 27th
So Tomorrow is the 2nd last ever League game at the Manor, Lets Hope Firoz Kassam is there so that He can see the Supporters views on David Kemp, There has been a Huge response to the Campaign to get Kemp out on the TiU Forum, He just has to go and soon, We can't have all this bickering at the last ever League game at the Manor, We want a night to remember not a night to forget, Posters will be handed out before the Game-So Keep an eye out for People Handing  out small posters like the One's that were handed out at Bristol Rovers last week.

Thursday April 26th
Oxford United  have Today announced What they will be doing on the Evening of the 1st of May for Oxford's last Ever League game at the Manor Ground verses Port  Vale, How fitting that Brian Horton should be the Last Visiting Manager to Come to the Manor.
Reading what was on the Official Website Really brought Home the Fact that Tuesday Really is the Last  Time We will see our beloved Oxford in action on the Hallowed Turf, I am not afraid to say I had Tears in my eyes just reading what they wrote about the last Evening at the Manor, I'm Proud to be an Oxford Fan and always will be, The Manor has been my 2nd Home since the 70's and will Miss it very much, But we have to Move on so here's to the Future and a very good send off on Tuesday,
 Here's the Report from OUFC:-
OUR final game at The Manor Ground will be an emotional occasion for us all, but one, which should live on in our memories forever.

Chairman Firoz Kassam is determined to reward every loyal supporter who has endured the frustrations of being an Oxford United fan, with a night of emotion, joys and undoubtedly a few tears, which we will never forget.

A spectacular firework display by local company Skyline Promotions, with a stunning secret finale, will end the evening on Tuesday 1st May and leave us all with tears in our eyes.

The evening will stir the emotions, and evoke memories of those glorious days in the Eighties when we reached the top level of the Football League in addition to reaching Wembley and winning the Milk Cup Final.

But together with these delightful memories will be mixed the sad reality of relegation. So emotions will be running high and, as we all join together as one, to say farewell to The Manor Ground it will be a time for us to look forward to the future and brighter days ahead.

The game will be preceded by a medley of tunes performed by buglers from ‘A’ Company (The Royal Green Jackets) under the leadership of Pat Mannion. As this is the final League game they will play a fanfare to acknowledge both Oxford United and Port Vale, onto the pitch.

A raffle will also be held during the evening. Every Oxford fan who comes to the game will be given a ticket free of charge and the exciting prizes will be drawn on the pitch after the final whistle.

At the end of the game, Mr Kassam will address the fans from the pitch.

This final evening will be one to remember forever, we are leaving The Manor Ground with a sparkle, a fizz and with dreams of the future.

Commercial manager Gary Hooper says: “It will be a big, exciting and very emotional evening which all Oxford United supporters will want to be a part of. I look forward to sharing in this special evening.”

Wednesday April 25th
So the Kemp Out Messages Keep Rolling in on all the Forum's,
When is Firoz Kassam Back from His Holiday.?
The Sooner He gets Back and sacks Kemp the Better, It might be the end of the season But why let that Prat spoil the Last Couple of games at the Manor Ground, Supporter will want to Remember there last game at the Manor, Not try and forget it because of the Display and Comments Mr Kemp,
Give Fordy the Job until the end of the Season as He will make sure the Stadium goes out on a high( Which will take a lot) He loves this club, He loves the Ground and He loves the Supporters and He will do His best to Guarantee a good send off for all, Fordy in charge for the last 3 Games might even bring back a few Supporter that have left because of Kemps Lack of Commitment  to the club and His wayward comments about the Team and Supporters.
Why wait until the end and spoil a good party- Unless We have plans for the Last game at the Manor to Tie Kemp to the goal and let all the Supporters queue up to take  pot shots at Him, Now that would be Reality.
----------------------------------------
The Pitch at the New Stadium is coming along very well, Support are laying the Plastic Carpet which goes down before the soil and Sand, It is Sown together to make the Pitch stronger so that in the Future Rugby could be played on the Hallowed Turf.
There is a Picture on the OUFC site of the Pitch being started.

Tuesday April 24th
Oxford United have Stated Today that Ticket Sales for the Last Ever League game at the Manor Ground are very quiet, They Still have Loads left which isn't Good,
Does no-one care that it is going to be the End of an era.?
Or are People a bit Pessimistic about buying a ticket for a game that they think might not be the last League game at the Ground, This time it is it,
No Coming back to the Manor Ground for any League games,
The Last League Game at the Manor will be upsetting enough for Us Die-Hards who have been going for Decades, It will be Heart breaking to see all the empty spaces on the Terraces,
Supporters are Probably waiting for the Game at the Manor between the Milk Cup Teams to Finally say Goodbye to the Manor, If that is the Case the True Fans will probably end up missing the game as Ticket demands for that will be High, Therefore Tickets for the Cuckoo Lane should go to Oxford Fans aswell to Make Sure they all get a chance to See there Hero's and Bid a fond Farewell to the Stadium, That will be the Last Ever Game to be played on the Hallowed Turf.
--------------------------------------------
Oxford Have revealed today that they have to change the Kit Next Season because they are unable to get anymore of the Same Kit from the Manufacturers who made the Kit, Under League Rules Clubs have to use the Same Home kit for 2 Seasons, Oxford have used There current kit for just this Season, Personally the Sooner we get rid of this kit the better, It is a dirty horrible colour and isn't the Clubs usual shade of Yellow, Fans can Still vote on which strip to have next season by click here to go to the Oxford United website
------------------------------------------
Letter on the Fans Forum from a Plymouth Argyle fan:-
'A lot of the goodwill surrounding David Kemp is based on his playing days rather than his spell as manager. I remember him as a decent striker but the football we played under his managership was some of the worst I've ever seen. I've got nothing against long-ball football if it's done well and if it's mixed up a bit with the occasional pass (a la Dave Smith) but Kemp's version of it made Warnock's team look like the Brazil of 1970.
There is no doubt that he was hamstrung somewhat by a lack of financial backing but I get the impression that had he been given more money to spend he would have simply have bought taller rather than better players.
He didn't endear himself to Argyle fans last summer when he came back to HP with Pompey for a pre-season friendly either, spouting off about what a rubbish club Argyle is and how he was going to show us what we were missing. I'm sure that Pompey and Oxford fans have been delighted with the success and cultured football that he's brought them this season.
It could be said that he's again had to work under severe financial constraints but isn't it strange that the only clubs who will employ him are broke? You know what they say about paying peanuts?'

Monday April 23rd
Oxford's Loyal Fans got the Praise they deserved after the Game on Saturday from the Tannoy announcer at Bristol Rovers, After the Game He said over the PA system  "A special message for the 264 Oxford United supporters for your support. We wish you all the very best next season."
At Least someone Appreciates Our Support, Unlike a Certain Oxford Manager.

What is David Kemp going to say Next, In the last few days He has managed to Slag off and Upset nearly everyone connected with the club, From Players to Fans, Messages on the TiU Forum have been coming in Thick and Fast and the Campaign to Oust Him from the Club will carry on until He is gone, If there is Anyone who thinks He should stay as Manager I will be Greatly Surprised.
-

The shocking way in which the way the man speaks is outrageous. he seems to think that the problems at the club aren't his fault or his problem. The way he speaks is in an "I told you so" and "It's your fault and not my problem".

An example of this is when he spoke about our goalkeeping crisis. a normal manager would say that finances are tight but WE will try and manage as best we can. but he says "It would have been interesting, wouldn't it?". And when asked one who he could get he replies "Where am I going to get anyone? Who am I going to bring in – Barthez?".

I don't appreciate this sarcasm David; if I wanted a comedian as manager then surly Mr Bean is our man. Sadly, this is not too far from the truth.

It is obvious to me that your heart isn't in it. Your job as a representative of the club is to support us - not say "But you reap what you sow in this business. This club has not invested in players for three years and it shows. What is the ambition of this club?"

Thanks David, having a go at your own club is getting us a great reputation and is not in the slightest making a mockery of our club. Now that is sarcasm!

Sunday April 22nd

Oxford Fans went to Bristol yesterday in a buoyant mood, Chatting with the Rovers Fans in the Pub before the game like old friends, Admittedly we wanted the U's to lose to Help Scumdon Down, But to cave in the way Oxford did was dreadful, It looked like Oxford hadn't read the Script to start with though,
They started very well and even took the Lead through Jon Richardson, Oxford played some good passing Football in the First Half, The Atmosphere in the First half resembled a Pre-Season friendly, the U's fans occasionally Chanting for the U's when a majority were chanting for Rovers, Not that All those that went Didn't Love Oxford, They all did but 2 Fans in the Away end Must have been on the Moon for the week or Blind, those 2 U's Fans turned on the rest for constantly making comical remarks towards the Players, At one point the Chap in front of Where we were stood looked like blowing His top-Waving His arms in the air shouting" You are all a bunch of Two faced Bastards-Am I the only one Supporting the Team, I haven't come this far to listen to You lot doing this".
If it had been a dozen or so people chanting for Rovers then I could have understood Him having a go, But when it was 200 plus People He must have just been brave or Stupid, The rest of the U's Fans just proceeded to Laugh at Him all the Game and Make Jibes towards Him, He Even refused one of My Kemp Out Banners at the Game, They were Waved by a Huge amount of Fans Who welcomed them with Great Joy, The 150 that I took was not enough, Some had to share, Only 4 People refused to take them, Saying they didn't think it was right!!!
Apparently one of the banners even made it to Kemps seat on the Dugout !

There was a Huge Banner on the Side of the Away Terrace which read-
GOOD LUCK ROVERS and something about the Scum at the Bottom:-)

After going One goal up Oxford seemed to do what they have done all season though, Cave in- The Lead lasted all of about 6 or 7 minutes and from then on we looked like Losing, Rovers 2nd Brought a huge cheer from the Away section, There 3rd had just a little cheer,  Oxford did put up a bit of a fight then when Andy Scott got a goal back to make it 3-2, Manny was lively up front but never really troubled the keeper all the game, All the Chances we did have after that were well blasted over the bar or wide.
Rovers on the other hand were hungry for more goals and always looked dangerous when going forward, There 4th didn't bring much cheer from the U's fans as the Penalty decision got Richard Knight sent off for bringing the attacker down, Phil Wilson Replacing Him between the sticks, He saved the resulting Penalty only for Rovers to slot in the rebound to make it 4-2, That opened the flood gates to what could have been atleast 10 goals but Rovers only managed to grab 2 more, One of those was from another Penalty, Phil Wilson came running out to clear the ball but took the player instead, We all thought He was walking aswell as His tackle was worse than Knighty's sending off, The Ref only giving Him the Yellow,
Wilson nearly got to the Penalty kick but Nearly isn't good enough, Oxford have Nearly Won on a number of occasions this season-but on this display they didn't deserve to Win.
Rovers for one day but Oxford Till I Die.

Friday April 20th 2001-15 Years On.

Sorry again for a delay in updating this site, I Have had major troubles with the PC and hopefully now it is all sorted, Not a lot has gone on in the Week apart from Oxford Losing AGAIN! at the Hands of Reading, Kemp Telling every Supporter to get a Reality check, I was Praised for taking 30 Kemp out posters to Luton, but Only a few went to Wigan, Also for Waving My Kemp out banner in the London Road on Tuesday against Reading, Though I was on my own as I Only took one,
But after the outburst on Wednesday from Kemp I have Printed another 100+ for the Bristol Rovers match with this website address on to drum up some more viewers, If anyone has any other idea's about a Kemp out campaign please contact Me on my new Email address,
unitedwestandoufc@yahoo.co.uk

-------------------------------------------------
Seems hard to believe that On this day 15 Years ago we were celebrating the Clubs Greatest achievement and Now look at the Club, in there worst Position since 1965,
it will be nice to see the Team of 86 back at the Manor for one last game with Jim Smith watching the two teams He made for that wonderful day at Wembley when We stuffed QPR 3-0 and rewrote the record books.
-------------------------------------------------

Oxford Fans Will have the option of Having there Name in Brick in the New Stadium, For a tidy £35/40 you can Write your name in Oxford United History, A Brick with Black writing up to 13 letters is £35, In Gold writing is £40, The Club are Hoping for around 6000 Bricks to have Engraved bringing in £200,000.
--------------------------------------------------

Lets Hope the Weather is nice Tomorrow, Hope the boys play well, But We really want a Rovers Win to Help Scumdon drop Down to Divvy 3 with us.
So for one day and one day only-Come on u Rovers.!
We Love you Oxford-But We are looking forward to Beating Scumdon at the County Ground next season to end the 28 year wait.
------------------------------------------------
Manny Omoyinmi and Paul Powell should have a place on the bench for the trip to Bristol,
-----------------------------------------------
Oxford United will be Hosting the Annual Varsity Match next month as the Original fixture was rained off at Craven Cottage-Home of Fulham, Fulham are renovating there ground and cannot afford to have there ground being used as building work needs to be started straight away after the season has finished,
The Match between Oxford and Cambridge Universities will be on Friday May 4th at 7.30pm, Admission is £7 to sit or Stand and a Programme will be included in the price, Could this be the chance to actually get in the Cuckoo Lane stand or will the club only be opening the Home Section.
lets Hope they open the whole ground, Malcolm Crosby will be back at the Manor as He is manager of the Oxford University.

Jon Murray's Report in the Mail slagging off Oxford Fans at Luton is ludicrous,
How can He say that the Oxford Fans were awful,
Did He actually got to the Game.?
During and after the game there was a great rapour between the U's and Luton fans, The Players were grateful of our support at the end, Coming over to show there appreciation for Great Vocal support, We did give Joe Kinnear some Stick but all in Good Fun, He showed that by Waving back to us on a number of occasions,
Where this Accusation about Kinnears Niece came from is a mystery,
We Didn't even know anything about it until We read His comments in the Paper,
Perhaps the Mail are trying to get rid of the Final few Readers they have left,
They are doing a good Job of it,
Keep up the Fine work and there won't be a Paper, Unless that is-You apologize to The Loyal band of U's Fans who Got behind there Club at Luton on Tuesday Night and have done all season through Thick and Thin.!

Friday April 13th 2001

Oxford still have Doubts over  Manny Omoyinmi, Paul Tait and Robert Quinn for the visit to the JJB Stadium Wigan, It will be a Great day out, As always watching the U's is a Great day out, Will also be our last Visit to the JJB for a while as it is likely they will go up this time and with us down it might be a few years before we play again, At least we can now look at there Marvelous stadium and know we will have one of our own next Season, last time we were there we didn't know whether we would have a club at this time, All seems secure-So Here's to the Future..
---------------------------------------------

Has anyone come up with any good idea's about what to do for the last game at the Manor yet.?
The Time is getting so close now and We have to make it a very special occasion, It's going to be like moving out of a house you have lived in all your life to start afresh, it will be all the better but then again very sad.
--------------------------------------------
For those of You with ICQ and Don't go to away games, I now have ICQ access on my Mobile Phone, my Number is 15701180, Feel free to pass on any news or Comments, Or even just to give the team a cheer from Home.
--------------------------------------------
Visited the New Stadium today, Work is going on well, the North Stand Roof will be completed soon, The Pitch ahs a good layer of Sand on it, the Brickwork is taking shape around the South Stand and the Car parking spaces are almost Visible, all in all the Builders Birse are doing a Great  Job, Keep up the good work Lads.
A Big Thank You from all the Oxford Fans.
Pictures will appear here the Weekend.

Contrary to what I have said recently, Today is the 26th Anniversary of My First game at the Manorground, How Fitting that in 20 Days time We play our last League game at the manorground,
1975, The Manorground, Oxford vs Sunderland, The Attendance-13,004.
Colin Clarke scored the all important goal,
It was Les Taylor's Home Debut For Oxford- The Team that day was:-
Milkins-Taylor-Shuker-Lowe-Colin Clarke-Jeffrey-Duncan-McCulloch-Derek Clarke-Aylott-Heron-(Sub McGrogan)
Colin Clarke scored the only goal in a 1-0 Win over the Rokerites,
I Sat on the Wall at the front of the Beech Road with my Brother Grayson, Our Dad took us and the Rest is History.

Wednesday April 11th
Dodgy Ticker,
Heart Attack, Attack Attack Attack,
You Told all the Lies, You Told all the Lies, You Fat Bastard,
You Fat Bastard you told all the Lies.

Just a few things the U's Fans were singing  last night at Kenilworth Road where Oxford Played Luton Town and got a deserved Point,
Joe Kinnear took abuse from the United Fans all night, at one time giving a gesture to the crowd with Two Fingers up like He was Smoking a cigar, abuse about Eating Hamburgers and His Size were the Main Chants.

KEMP OUT Posters were Handed out last night to United Fans behind the Goal from This Site and they were certainly waved well at the Game, The vocal Chants of KEMP OUT were loud too, Kemp looked like He had had enough at Halftime when He walk across the Pitch to the Dressing Room, But when He walk over at the End of the Game He looked Dejected,
The Players all came over to show there appreciation for our Great vocal support and They were rewarded with Great Applause, Darren Patterson was on a High at the End of the Game, Coming over in Front of us and Thumping the Air.
When We left the ground after the Game we were approached by quite a few Luton Town Fans who wanted to say How Much respect they had for us, "With Oxford already being relegated to Division 3-to  take that kind of Support was Unbelievable, You are a Credit to your Club, The Club should be proud of you all, We expected just a few and your vocal support was Great, Most of it was aimed at Kinnear and most of it was Humorous, A very bad game to watch but we look forward to playing you again next season and visiting your new stadium".

Oxford went behind in the First half to sloppy defending of a corner, Richard Knight was in good shot stopping form but had no chance with the Goal, From a Corner the ball went through the defence and Julian Watts was there to Poke the ball into the Net, 1-0 Down and We expected an onslaught of Goals, Knight saved well from a Blistering Shot just before halftime, To be honest He should never have got to the ball, It was a world class save and the whole ground duly applauded Him.
The Second half was a very dull affair, Oxford having the odd shot on goal before they actually Got the Equalizer, Phil Gray tried a shot with an overhead kick, The ball looped over the Luton Defence where Andy Scott was waiting to slot in His 2nd goal for the Club, All of us behind the opposite goal went wild and then Fired more abuse at Joe Kinnear, Oxford have not got many points away this season but to get a point against Kinnear was Great, 3 would have been better but it was better than none.

Sunday April 8th

Pictures Taken Yesterday

Saturday April 7th

Oxford were today Relegated to Division 3, We all knew that We were but today We were put out of our misery, Sad News We know but We should be grateful for One thing:-
We Have a Football Club to Support Next Season
2 Weeks ago it looked Like We wouldn't have one to support,
Thanks to Firoz Kassam We will still be Watching Oxford play Football, Better still it will be in a New Stadium, So Thing aren't all that bad in reality, We are still proud of the Club,
We will still Follow them to the Ends of the Earth to Support our club,
We still Love our club,
What More can We ask for but to See us just Survive to Fight next Season and Win Promotion back to Division 2,
Firoz Has Promised to Deliver on the Pitch now that the Future of the Stadium is Secured, We just Need a good Squad, Pull in good Crowds and Make everything as Hard for Everyone in Division 3 as possible.
--------------------------------------------------------------
In what was a very poor game from the Point of view of both sets of supporter, Oldham popped up at the Death to Hammer the Final nail in the U's coffin, With the Other Teams above us getting a point we were finally Doomed, The Players knew at the Final Whistle, Dave Kemp proceeded to really put His little Feet in His big Mouth by saying that He thought Oxford played very well, In Reality they were Bloody awful, Woeful infact, Fans bombarded Radio Oxford to complain at Kemps reaction to the game, Calling for Him to be Sacked Now-Just like the Crowd in the Manor after the Final Whistle, There just does not seem to be anything there in the Dugout, U's Fans calling For John Aldridge to be Installed as boss for Next Season, But rumour has it Aldridge's wife won't let Him Move to Oxford so We might be stuck with the Present Teletubbies for a While, I thought Laa Laa went to Shrewsbury anyway.  hehehehe.Roll on Meeting Jemmo again..

----------------------------------------------------

Oxford had more bad luck today when the Roof of the New Stadium Mainstand was damaged in a fire, A Friend of mine Working on site today said"The Fire was believed to be started by Kids who broke through the Fencing and made there way to the top of the stand, there they made a fire which damaged the roof and some structural points, A Structural Engineer will be on site on Monday to asses the damage and then Birse will go from there, The Damage was estimated to have set them back a few weeks at the Most, Some Concreting will have to be replaced and the Roof above the refreshment area replaced".
I was also told that there contract runs for another 17 Weeks.
Other than that the Stadium is well on course for the start of Next Season, So the Port Vale game will be the Last League game.

---------------------------------------------------
Oxford might be unchanged for the visit of Oldham today, The Team who played very well at Bournemouth in Midweek deserve another chance to show there stuff, they will be back on a good playing surface now though and raring to go, Oxford were very unlucky in awful conditions and deserved more.
---------------------------------------------------
When are Oxford United going to announce what there Shirts for next Season are going to look like,?
Oxford are always the Last to show there fans, Every week on Sky's Soccer Am they show 2 or 3 teams kits for the next season, Oxford have never featured showing there new kit,
Have we decided on the new Kit.?
Are the Fans going to have a choice.?
When are we going to see the Choice or Choices.?
Are we going to play the First game of the New Season again without our replica shirts like this season.?
as if going down isn't bad enough, Give us something to look forward too. Please..
It is time for the Club to start getting better reports on Merchandise to the fans.
-----------------------------------------------------
Oxford are hoping to get an away game to start the New Season to allow them time to complete the New Stadium, Work is going along great guns, but there is every chance that they will be pushed to get certain things done, They have to secure the safety certificate about a month before they play there so things will be tight, The builders are doing a great job though and We are extremely proud of them.
----------------------------------------------------
Tim Lovejoy of Soccer Am had to go and remind us today that Oxford are going to be relegated if we lose and will be in the lowest Division for the first time in 35 years, Thank you for that Fact.

Thursday April 5th

First of all I would like to Wish a Very Happy Birthday to My Dad, John Fisher From Lechlade Gloucestershire, Hope you have a Great Day from All at United We Stand.
----------------------------------------------------------
Next Season's Worthington Cup 1st and 2nd Rounds are no longer going to be a 2 legged affair, They will be on a Knockout basis, So lets hope that We get drawn at Home in the 1st Round, It might turn out to be the first competitive game in the New Stadium depending on whether the First League game of the New Season is Home or Away, That is a long way away though at the Moment, But We can only look Forward to next Season now.
----------------------------------------------------------
Firoz Kassam is Looking forward to playing in the New Stadium and the Start of a New Era,

Wednesday April 4th
Were going down, Were going down, Your not, Your not.
Stand up if your going down.
Were going down as F**king Champions.
Just a Number of Songs sung last night by the U's Fans at Bournemouth,
Most of the U's Fans were in the Ground to See Phil Gray's Wonder Goal, Approximately 20-30 U's fans were still queuing up for a ticket for the Car Park when He scored,
They had 1 Ticket Machine for approx 1000+ Cars which was a disgrace,
When We joined the queue most people had been waiting  for 10-20 mins for a ticket, There was 100's of Bournemouth Fans waiting and they missed the Goals too.
When we did get in the ground the Pitch looked dreadful, There was Loads of Surface water on the Pitch, Oxford Played Really well under the Conditions, they were the same for both teams, Oxford Battled valiantly throughout the game, the Defence was Superb, Richard Knight made some great saves, the Front men worked tirelessly for a way through the Bournemouth Defence, Both Teams were fortunate to get a Penalty in the Second half, the Bad surface paying dividends.
To come away with another 4-3 defeat was bad enough, but to lose in that fashion was upsetting, Oxford had enough possession of the ball but failed to Convert the Chances, Jermaine Dafoe was Barracked by the U's fans for his Weakness to stay on His feet, at every opportunity He got He was falling over trying to get Oxford Players booked or Worse, He got what He wanted near the End when He won a Penalty, We had already Had one at the other end which was coolly put away by Gray for His 2nd, Robert Quinn knocked in His 2nd for the Club to make it 3-3 before Bournemouth Finished off Oxford in the Final Minute.
U's Fan were calling for Kemp to be Sacked after the game, Kemp out ringing at the back of the Wooden Stand.
At the End of the Season Bournemouth Dean Court is being rearranged, The Pitch is being turned round by 90 Degrees, the Old terracing behind the goal will become the Side of the Pitch, the Mainstand will be taken away and the Pitch will be extended over into what is now the Carpark, the End of the Pitch where the away fans are Housed will be completely done away with, That Information came from one of the Stewards at Dean Court who I spoke too, He Goes from Cheltenham to Bournemouth to Steward every game, Dedication for you.

I have always been Proud to Be an Oxford United Fan and when you get Postings like this on the Oxford Forum about Oxford Fans from Northampton Fans it makes you even more Prouder to be One:-

I thought I'd go along and have a look at the Northampton web site - they don't have their own message board but link to an unofficial one. Topic of the weekend was why there is no atmosphere at Sixfields and how We made so much noise.. One example "Oxford have great supporters..yesterday, as with most days We have critics! What has happened to everyone? We should be supporting everyone who puts on a claret shirt. I want what Oxford had yesterday, loads of singing and cheering...proper support!
Say No More.!

Oxford Won Performance of the Week for there Display at Home to Rotherham last Week, The Panel of Sir Alex Ferguson, Graham Taylor, Howard Wilkinson, Barry Fry and Dave Bassett chose Oxford for there Gutsy display, Dave Kemp received the Award on Friday after there Training Session.
------------------------------------------------
Oxford have again today Praised the Fans  who made the Journey to Northampton's Sixfield Stadium, The Huge amount of Support that Followed the U's up the A43 was tremendous, For a Team who are all but relegated to take such a good Following is good, We need to build on the Performances of late, Carry them over into next Season and Push for Promotion, With the Current Team We will Cruise that Division (Hopefully).

Sunday April 1st

Before I get too far, This is Not an April Fool....

Oxford Got all 3 Points Yesterday at Northampton, It was the Away Performance of the Season for the U's, They dominated the whole game, The Cobblers thought that  they were always in the game but Oxford were Double the team they were, Northampton weren't poor, They were just outclassed, How all these team who get beat by Oxford can turn round and make excuses that they did not play very well and that is why we lost is beyond Me, Stand up and admit it, What they came out with Yesterday was a load of Cobblers..!

Dave Kemp came out with the Quote of the Season Yesterday:-
" It's Like being made Captain of the Titanic Just after it has hit the Iceberg and Sunk"
He has been at the Club Since November, That must be the Longest sinking of a Ship Ever.

A Great Goal from Paul Tait on 12 Minutes was enough to seal the Points, good work from Manny "who limped of Injured later" down the Right-Crossing the ball to Tait who slipped the Ball from close range past the Cobblers Keeper who was caught Sheeping-Sorry Sleeping, Well His Name was Welch(Welsh).hehehe.
Oxford had there Chances to Finish off the Cobblers but failed to finish, What was good to see was the Support for a team that are all but Down, The mass of Fans who turned up yesterday was brilliant, The players and staff were shocked but proud to see them all there, Kemp said that the Support was Tremendous, Tait said the Crowd was brilliant and they earned that win today.
If we can keep taking that support away with us Next Season then we will be a formidable force in Division 3.
All We can do now is just Cherish the last 4 League games at the Manor and Look forward to the Future and at least Finish this season with a bit of pride, Why we have left it till this to start winning is a mystery, Shoot ourselves in the foot and then try too run.
It looks like we have the bases of a team for Next season, though there are a few who will be on there way, Steve Anthrobus is reported to be going to Port Vale and Peter Fear to West Brom.  With Ian McGuckin also looking like leaving and the departure of Neil McGowan back to Scotland the Team is rapidly shrinking in size.

Even Better News is the All Clear to continue with the New Stadium, Friday nights Meeting and announcement that the Covernant had been cleared has made everyone connected with the U's very Happy, Ecstatic even, After the Legal Wrangle with Les Wells and the Council  then Thames Water this little club was in need of some happiness, Now with it all out of the way and NOTHING to get in our way we can definitely look forward to the Future, at  last.
Another BIG THANK YOU to FIROZ KASSAM for His patients in what has been a desperate time for the Club.
