Next Match-....Away to York City Saturday 28th  September 2002 kick off 3pm............Away to Charlton Athletic in the Worthington Cup 2nd Round-Tuesday 1st October 2002 Kick off 7.45pm.......
                                               Sunday 22nd September 2002
Match Report is here now.
Well a 0-0 draw does not show how exciting this game was, it was end to end stuff, Neither team had the fire power
to kill the other one off though, The Ox had run out of steam and the Tiger had lost it's growl.
Better news though of Jamie Brooks, He was at the game yesterday with his Dad, I saw him before the game
and finally arranged with him to present him his Trophy that he will keep for winning last season's Player of
the Season award, That happened after the game in the Red Bar upstairs, Jamie is looking so much better and
is now walking without the aid of the stick he had a few weeks ago, it is great to see him back up on his feet,
He can't wait to play, but he isn't going to rush anything or be rushed, he has his head screwed on firmly.

Oxford sold only 70 Pints during the "so called" Happy Hour yesterday, between 12-1pm,
Not that many really, maybe next time they should do it between 1 and 2pm.

                                               Saturday 21st September 2002
Oxford have been drawn against Bournemouth at Home in the LDV Vans Trophy 1st Round,

Ties to be played 22nd & 23rd of October

Match report for the Orient game on Tuesday is now uploaded and can be seen on the Match Reports page
 sorry for the delay.

Don't forget to get to the ground early today, The New Away shirts are on Sale, Priced £39.99(Adults)
£29.99(Children), plus there is 2 pints for the price of one between 12 and 1 pm in the Quad bar,
So get along there early.

The Team should be unchanged, so we can expect this unbeaten run to continue, even at Home...!!!!!!

                                               Friday 20th September 2002
Oxford should be unchanged for the visit of the Tigers tomorrow, Hull City could be well and truly tamed
by an Oxford team rampant on getting a home win after 3 away wins on a trot.

Last night the Ox Vox meeting was attended by around 30 members at the Blackbird Leys Leisure centre,
Not a huge amount considering there is 161 members, it was the first AGM for the new group that is just
over 6 months old.
Dave Nash, The club's Education Officer was the Guest Speaker for the evening and he came over very well,
telling the small gathering about his job working for the club.

Dave Nash speaking last night.                       Neil Carter, Chris Davies and Trevor Lambert at the meeting.

                                               Thursday 19th September 2002
Oxford fans will only have to pay £12 for a ticket for the Worthington Cup game at Charlton on October 1st,
That is a huge reduction from the amount they charge for the Premiership, that will mean a mass amount of U's
fans travelling for the game, the more the better, we need to continue this run of winning away from home,
A loss in the cup at Charlton might knock the spirits of the team in the league, but failing that, if we lose,
At least if we play well the fans will be happy.

                                               Wednesday 18th September 2002
Get to the Kassam early on Saturday and you will get a free pint for every pint you buy, but the offer is only between 12 and 1pm, or in other words, it will be HAPPY HOUR.

On what was a very happy night for the Oxford fans, the night was pure despair for the Orient fans,
Here is a contrast of Pictures.

U's fans at Leyton Orient last night. (above) Part of the 535 U's fans, who were superb.
And Below-Sir Richard Attenborough and Friends, looking very down hearted just before the end.

Oxford won 2-1 at Leyton Orient last night, goals from Andy Scott and Andy Crosby winning the match.
Atkins was delighted at the end, leaping into the London Sky.

                                               Monday  16th September 2002

Oxford's game at Charlton in the Worthington Cup 2nd Round is to be played at The Valley on
Tuesday 1st October with the kick off being 7.45pm, A nice reward for the fans who travelled to Bristol to see
them win in the 1st round last week.

Very sad news about Dave Waterman's son, Oakley, he has been diagnosed with Cancer,
He is only 3 years old, Our hearts go out to Dave and his Wife at this terrible time.
