A 1-1 draw at Kidderminster keeps the U's in 3rd place in division 3, Super Sub Mark Rawle coming on to put the U's 1-0 up, but they were guilty of over celebrating after the goal and never really got any shape back, With Kiddy going straight down the other end and equalizing, then the U's nearly threw the whole game away, giving away a penalty, only for them to blast it wide...Thankfully.

                                         Friday 29th August 2003
Had a great day at the East Sussex National Golf Course with Andy Scott and Andy Woodman on Wednesday, it was a shame that alot of the players did not turn up, Teddy Sheringham for one, but the most amazing fact was, NO Oxford United players turned up for the golfing part of the day.
The only well known faces on show were Chelsea Legend Clive Walker, Reading Manager Alan Pardew, Nigel Spackman, John Francome and Ron Noades.

The U's travel the shortish distance to Kidderminster on Saturday to try and keep up their run of good fortune in the league so far this season, lets hope that the results keep coming thick and fast.
Andy Scott will probably come in for the suspended Julian Alsop, but the rest of the team should be the same.

What a late great show by the U's yesterday as they beat Swansea City, who were top before the days play, 3-0 at the Kassam Stadium, that win now puts the U's firmly on the top of Division 3, the only team with double figures at the moment, unless York beat Southend tomorrow.
We are not going to get carried away though, but it is nice to see the U's flying high after years of misery, good luck to the lads, they are enjoying their football and getting results at the same time, BLISS.

Some of the U's players are having a golf day to raise money for Cancer after Dave Waterman's young son Oakley was struck down with Cancer last year, Oakley is a lovely little lad and has been through more operations and therapy than most people will have had in a life time, So lets hope that the players can raise a huge amount of money for a great cause, Oakley reduced me to tears when I met him, he is so courageous.
.My Son Bradley told me at the end of last season that he wanted to save some money to give Oakley so that he could buy himself something special, he has been saving 20p coins in a smartie tube and has filled the tube to the top with 15 in 20p's, He wanted to do that off of his own back, nearly brought me to tears, that a young lad of 8 years old wanted to do that for a lad he doesn't really know, I am totally proud of him and hope now that more people will take notice of how much cancer can effect other people in ways that they never thought could happen, I have lost Family to cancer, so please support the players in there quest to raise loads of money for the charity they are supporting. Thank you.
Players playing in the golf day tomorrow are Andy Woodman, Andy Scott, Scott McNiven, Derek Townsley, Lee Steele, plus a few celebrities, including Gareth Southgate-who is best friends with Woody, Dave Waterman will be at the evening awards dinner, along with Helen Chamberlain.
